So besides the slayfest which occurred for the first 2hrs on Sunday morning, anyone else doing any good? The evening high tide hasn't been prodcuing much the last couple of nights....I wonder if we just wiped the whole run on Puyallup on the opener!

I was wondering the same thing, was out there Sunday morning and we brought a nice 20 lb'er to the boat and that was it. Was out there this morning from 5 to 8:30 and nothing, didn't even see any fish caught but talked to a few that said they had gotten 1. I think I am heading back out at about 2 today and try my luck some more, probably troll the slag to the banks.

How is everyone else doing?

I heard yesterday was decent and today went south. Only heard of one fish brought into the Boathouse.

Got two reports this evening on the mouth of the Nasty- lots of BIG fish! This would hold up considering my experience at Chambers Creek Sunday Evening.

Let the slaughter begin!

Excuse my ignorance, but are you referring to the mouth of the "Nasty" as being the Puyallup because the color is quite brown year around or is the Nisqually what you are talking about. I'm going to be spending some time at the in-laws the next few days on Eld Inlet and was wondering which direction to point my boat to even have a chance at some of these south sound fish. I've been doing o.k. off Vashon recently but rarely have any luck in area 13. Thanks for any help!

Yeah I believe John (downriggin) was talking about the Nisqually. He's the one to listen to he definately knows his stuff. The picture of me in my avatar was on his boat.

WR,

Yes the Nisqually. Wouldn't be too much of a run for you from Eld- depending on your boat. Additionally, Zittels has a launch you can utilize. I believe it is $8 to launch.

Best bet would fishing Solo Pt down to the Green Can on either tide.

Hoping to get out this evening to confirm the reports.

Hey DR,

Isn't that pretty much a jig show down there? It's been years since I fished the green can but if memory serves its not that deep and not very condusive to Downriggn.

FDBFM, How did you do yesterday morning in commencement? I'm headed Friday afterwork and was wondering if I should try up around Redondo instead...

There are still fish at Redondo. A buddy of mine got a 9# king and we lost two other nice fish yesterday afternoon at Redondo.

Fished the mouth yesterday morning got out there at about 4:30, lots of boats fishing the mouth and very very few fish caught. Decided to move to the clay banks hooked into about a 7-8 blackmouth that was lost at the boat. That was the only take down that I had all day. With all this rain today means I will definately be giving it a go tomorrow.
