hit possesion for a few hours sat. evening. No salmon but we did find huge schools of bait (sounder screen was black with bait) with birds all over the top and dog fish and sea lions chasing them from below. The dog fish were schooled up feeding right on the surface with 20 or 30 in a group thashing around. There were huge groups of birds surrounding these schools of feeding dog fish and several sea lions bobbing through the bunch. Pretty cool to see.
No salmon to the boat, but a beautiful evening for a cruise!

I've seen some big ones out there too Baddawg. I have been considering picking up a smelt net or somethign similar and carrying it so I can catch some bait since I fish there frequently. This time of year you can find a ball somewhere on Possession almost any day you go out.

I bet it looked similar to this, taken last year on 8/11. We just circled and picked off coho.

Sky guy, looked just like that only about 3 times as big, pretty cool sight!

Was out fishing the Bar Sunday evening with my nephew Jason up for two weeks from Southern Cal and my oldest daughter Katie. Left rod buried, Jason jumped on it and C-n-R'd a nice 15lb King! What a way to end the day!
