Does anyone here put there boat in down at the bottom of Key Peninsula? I was wondering if I could put my boat in at Joemma Beach and make it to the mouth of the Nisqually. I have a 19' Alumaweld with a 90 horse merc 4 stroke. Holds 38 gallons.

Thanks in advance. Dan

Hmm....Unless I totally misunderstand your question, you can make the run from Joemma Beach to Nisqually in less than 30 minutes in your boat. It can't be but 10 miles.

You could probably run at least 5 hours on a tank of gas(38 gallons) with your 90hp Merc. 150 miles? Heading to Neah Bay, via water?

I am not sure I can answer your ? as I am not sure where your launching and what your Gallons per Hour are. I installed a flow meter on my boat to track GPH and save gas. My boat will travel flat out about 52 miles an hour but uses 22 gallons an hour with a 85 gallon tank. Now drop down to 42 it uses 15.6 gallons an hour. Drop it down to 34 and it uses 9 gallons a hour. So you would need to know your GPH and distance to calculate. If your not sure throw a couple of jerry cans full of gas on board . their should be plenty of places you could stop and get gas if needed.

ET, you answered my question. Thanks.

Thanks troller, the flow meter sounds like a good idea.
