Well, this is my first report from the salt. I took my new Wooldridge Super Sport out today to break in the kicker motor and finish breaking in the main motor.

I only got about three ours of actual fishing in this afternoon, but with one rod out we caught 2 nice silvers (7-8LB range) and three Kings released. Fished North of the Ferry dock and used a gold star white squid with no bait. The spoons etc didn't even get a hit. A little snotty out there for a while today. The fish counter said 22 boats had come in as of 4pm with 44 fish.

I got the boat bloody, the new net bloody, a lot of salt all over the boat and boy am I happy to be back out there again.

I am headed out again tomorrow.

Mike,

Thanks for the report. I think next week will be the begining of the big push of the Snoho-Coho into area 9 and 8.2.

I'm gonna take Labor Day week off, so leave some for me.

Mike,

Cheers on popping your new boats cherry!

Also cheers on choosing a Wooldridge boat---a great choice---you won't be disapointed.

Enjoy!

My buddy and I fished Edmonds Thursday morning.
We had our limit before noon.
Three 8 pounders and a 10.5 pounder.
A lots of good Coho action in Puget Sound!!

Glad to hear everyone else is having success. I am real happy with the size of the fish. It has been about 10 years since I have been a regular on the sound. Well, that has changed now. Got about 2.5 hours of fishing in today while breaking in the motors. My buddy and I caught three silvers, one about 12LBS. The big one hit my cut plug herring with 6 OZ of weight.

Off to Seiku later this week. Good luck to all.

Are you the Mike that called me at Neah?
If so the report held for Saturday-tough fishing.
Sunday morning we coomed em out just beyond Tatoosh though.

Seastrike.....I am the Mike that called you on Saturday. We zoomed up there Saturday evening and hit it Sunday. Caught 6 blackmouth and 6 wild coho and no keepers. Oh well, it was nice not to have any fish when we pulled back into Maple Valley 10:00 PM Sunday night. For us the bite was intense for the first two hours and then completely turned off.

We did well at Edmonds this weekend, too. All the fish hit hootchies - white or white/green. They wouldn't take a spoon or herring.

Looks like it's going to be a great fall!
