Buoy 10 closes to chinook retention beginning Sept. 7

Action: All chinook must be released in the Buoy 10 Area beginning Tuesday, September 7, 2004.

Effective date: September 7, 2004

Species affected: Chinook salmon.

Location: Buoy 10 Area (mainstem Columbia River from Buoy 10 upstream to the Rocky Point/Tongue Point line).

Reason for action: The pre-season chinook allocation at Buoy 10 will be achieved through Labor Day. The fishery will continue through December for hatchery (adipose fin-clipped) coho. The daily limit from Sept. 7 through Sept. 30 will be two coho (16 inches or longer). Beginning Oct. 1, the daily limit is 6 coho, but no more than two adults (16 inches or longer).

Thanks for the heads up. I hope they don't forget to tell the Sea Lions (22-250) not to eat'm anymore.

LOL, everytime I say Sea Lion I automatically think 22-250, hee hee.
