Depends on what month your fishing, and what your definition of "the best" is.

Lay off benny, he gets kinda irritated, he is pointing his question at the west end rivers, probably minus the Hoh, because it will most likely be mudddy most of the fall.

Then perhaps he ought to phrase the question in such a way that it can be answered without having to ask questions.

Just a thought.

Again, define 'best'.

What are you looking for, numbers? Size? The best combination of both?

For me, its the Hoh hands down, in spite of its propensity to be out in October. Quality of fish being my only criteria as to 'best'.

...but that's me....

That said, for numbers I prefer the traditional bank fishing spots on the Sol Duc, you'll find me there every morning that the Duc has enough water to support moving fish, after which I'll start fishing the Hoh looking for a big, bright hog.

Lay off? Whatever do you mean?

Like h2o said define "best". If you want an answer, then the question should'nt be so vague.

There are rivers with probably a larger run of kings. The BEST for a chance at multiple hookups. There are rivers with kings that have more size to them. The BEST for a chance at a larger sized kings. And not to mention run timings.

Then I thought about it and maybe you meant what was "everyones favorite" river for kings.

Either way, I might be able to help you out BAITCASTER, but one guys "best" isn't anothers. I wasn't trying to be a smarta$$. I just wanted to know what exactly you were looking for.

MATT E.

I agree with Summer-Run.

For bigger, better quality kings, I would say the Hoh. But the Hump has some pretty good sized fish in there too. ;\)
