Thanks. I wish I would have taken a pic of the Cauliflower mushroom I found. Not very large, but about 5 pounds.

Maybe this weekend I can get some good pics.

hope to get out and get some more next week as its back to work tomorrow. served them up with a tri-tip roast and gravy. all gone.

Any of you guys want a picking partner?
My two best spots are gone, one is now a guys back yard.
The other (worse yet) is an ex-girlfriend's private property; It'd be somewhat gauche to ask her if I could come over now....for mushrooms, that is.
Chantrelles are truly delicious and worth the effort to find and keep secret (or share with one or two others, hint, hint).

I'm keen on Morels but don't have a clue on Chantrels. Anybody want a mushroom hunting partner to explore new areas? I'm game - pmail me.

Found over, well.....alot of pounds of these shrooms this year. I also found some awfully cool looking amanitas, I'll post a pic of the coolest one when my photoserver comes back up.

Chantrelles are popping out here from 0 to 2500ft, nearly everywhere in the dark reprod and in the pine straw.
