I've had a terrible time catching fish lately...

Hearing that the coho fishing has been great around the shipwreck in Mukilteo, I spent four hours Friday afternoon and five hours Saturday morning trolling for what ended up being highly elusive Coho. There were probably 500 boats on the water on Saturday morning and I saw one net out the entire time.

I'd really love to catch a couple of silvers this year. Does anyone have any recommendations for locations? Maybe I should just keep putting in my time at Mukilteo hoping that another batch comes in. Does that even happen?

What about the rivers? I live in Duvall so the Snoqualmie, Snohomish, and Skykomish rivers are all close.

Thanks in advance,

Aaron

Cast Blue Fox spinners in sizes 3-5 in colors pink, orange, chartruse, and red. Size 3 for low clear water (not an issue this year) and sizes 4-5 for higher water.

Or cast Dick Nite spoons in the smaller sizes in nickle/orange, nickle/pink, nickle/gold, or nickle. Use a 1/4, 1/2, or 1 oz. banana weight 2 feet above the spoon.

Use these for casting in the Snohomish and Sky after the rivers drop a little.

Thanks, I'll give that a try. I spent a fair bit of time fighting for a rock at Reiter last winter during steelhead season but I've not gotten back on the sky or snohomish this summer.

I'd hoped to get some stuff in the sound before moving to the rivers but it looks like the silvers were ready for the river before I was.
