My union (ILWU#24) is having our third annual Steve Peters Memorial Fishing Derby. The derby will be October 8th, 9th, and 10th. The derby cost is $25.00 and $15.00 for children 16 and under. This is for the whole derby not a daily fee. Half the proceeds go to our Relay For Life team, and the other half goes to a scholarship fund. There will be daily prizes for largest fish of both types (king & Coho). There will be a prize for both the biggest king and silver of the entire derby. Last years prize was $500.00 first place $300.00 second place. There will be a BBQ following Saturdays and Sundays event. Donations are gladly being accepted for the BBQ and or prizes for the kids. Tickets are available via The ILWU Credit Union located at the end of John Stevens road, the road to 28th Street launch. This is a really good derby, lots of good people, good fishin, and a great Salmon BBQ to top it off. I got put in charge of all donations this year. Hopefully lots of people will donate little prizes for the kids. A prize for each kid is nice, fish or no fish. Well I hope you can join us for this years derby. You can email me with any questions you may have.

Thanks,
Harbor-Hog

I sent you a personal e-mail but no response. If you give me more info as to are there any other places to get tickets for those who don't live in the immediate area? Will they be available at which ramps in the mornings? Where is the weigh in?, what areas does it cover. Times the weigh in closes on each day, etc. I will create a page & post it on the PSA State Board Derby page.

Chehalis River Salmon Derby.
October 8th, 9th, and 10th
BBQ following Sat and Sundays weigh ins.
Weigh ins will be at the ILWU Credit Union at the end of John Stevens Road ( 28th boat launch road) There will be signs it's not that hard to find. The weigh ins are at 5:00 all three days. Last years first prize was $500.00 and $300.00 second place. The largest silver was 14 something... These fish are to be cleaned (guts and gills) before being weighed. This year there is a class for both coho and Chinook. Lots of daily prizes too. Tickets are avialable exclusively at the ILWU Credit Union, they can be reached at 1800 459 8328. Call them and they will take care of you. Tickets need to be purchased before Saturdays event. The Credit Union will be open 9-5 Friday. There are no boundries for the derby, you can fish down below 28th street or up above around Cosi. Yeah I know the question of "What about up around the mouth of the Satsop" is gonna come up, and my answer to that is sure if that's really what you want to do but are you serious? If you have any more questions email me at NorthwestCustom@webave.com

Thanks
