I want to take my teenager to the barrier dam to battle boots but I'm not sure how fishable the water level is. Last year we went in mid oct, and he had a blast, we did'nt catch anything worth keeping " alot of people were keeping half rotton fish for smoking," I might try it If I can keep em' lit"
Anyway, any help on this would be great!

It is very fishable right now. The silvers are starting to stack inas wellas the boot kings. Chances are good for some nice fish!!

Fished it a week ago and saw only two silvers landed but plenty of old kings to battle. Long leaders and anything red works well.
