On Friday morning I fished Shilshole bay. It was completely dead. I didn't get a hit and never saw a net come out in the 30-40 boats that were fishing around me.

I was out bright and early yesterday morning fishing in front of the oil tanks in Edmonds. As usual the line at the Edmonds sling launch was long when we arrived at 6:00a.m. After waiting an hour for the launch to open we were in the water at 7:30. I got my first fish, a nice 12lb hen, within ten minutes right out in front of the marina. Within the next two hours, I lost two fish - one was pretty nice and the other small. People weren't hammering them but most of the boats around me were catching occasionally - luke warm at best.

We fished Westpoint from 6-noon and picked up 2.12lb buck and a 9lb hen.Only saw 1 other fish caught all morning. The water was flat and the fog was thin so it made for a great day out there. The fish checker only had 11 fish at noon so it sounds like we did pretty good.

We picked up 3 silvers off Westpoint between 1:00 and 2:30 yesterday. It was slow all morning, but once they came on, it was fast and furious. Nice ones, too: 9, 11 and 12.

No secrets - green hotspot, green/glo hootchie, 40 inches of leader, herring strip, 100 feet down.

Fished West point on Saturday. We caught a three and an eigh pound coho. A blue Grand Slam bucktail behind a flasher got both. Beautiful morning to watch the sunrise!
