h2o, Glad ya got some good water to fish! The Skagit has been running at seasonal lows this week...water is absolutely beautiful to look at...deep emerald green...low and slow...and dang few fish in it Cloudy and cold again today...hoping for some RAIN to develop and bring the level up a couple feet...just enough to bring some fresh fish in for this weekend. One can always hope... Go get 'em! Mike

Ok, I gotta ask! why do you use the most worthless swivel (look like Danielson, which I wouldn't use for lake trout) in the world to do battle with salmon, don't mean to start anything I just wonder why anyone would? Good fishing!

Let's see-- I have to work through this weekend; it's supposed to rain through this weekend, followed by a high pressure system... hmmm. Yes, I'd like a report, detailed map and full disclosure! Keith

Damn man you're killin' us!
Battle a few chromers for me would ya.
PS. Why no colored tape or tubing on your spinners?

i got skunked. serves me right I spose water was beautiful ABOVE the new logjams, a lil turbid below. would have been a great to day to be in the boat, maybe up in the canyon. The water sucked all the fish from the lower river into the upper and the freshies are apparently none too quick to follow. Maybe tomorrow or the next day (or the day after)...

If no one ever got skunked, it would be called 'catching' and not 'fishing'--and it would be a pretty boring sport if there was no challenge. There's always next time.

different stretches of the river had different clarity today. talked to a guide who floated the canyon and said it was beautiful...it looked awful nice above willoughby's.

I was fishing today!!! Puyallup schools have today and tomorrow off so I went fishing. Landed 4 silvers and hooked into many more, not bad for only fly fishing!

Ok, since the fish didn't bite, I will. How do you fish those spinners for salmon. We used to cast a black roostertail at about 45 degree angle up river and slowly reel in as it was going past. Would hook some nice rainbows in the Klamath River that way. Fish these the same for salmon? Bounce off the bottom like drifting a corkie? Please let me know. Need to learn how to catch more salmon. Steve
