Friday: Me and my buddy hooked 8 silvers LEGALLY, but only landed two!
Saturday: Landed four silvers myself, plus a nice native summer run. My partner got skunked.

Fished the Carbon up near the hatchery on Friday hoping to catch the river before it got all clouded up, and out of shape with all the rain. I was a day late as the water clarity was less than a foot. Still real low but clouded up. Fish were rolling all over the place but I only had two strikes with 0 hook ups. I didn't see anyone with any fish. Should get better with this rain though.

Cyclops: The Carbon has a less than 1 foot visability from June until usually sometime in November. It comes from the glaciers on Rainier.

When I fished it Thursday I had one on every few minutes.

Ok I am new to this board but not new to fishing. At the present I live in Oregon until the end of the month. Time for a real job again. We bought a house in Kent near SIR and we will be up there at the end of the month. I fish for Steelhead/Chinook. Drift fish, Bobber eggs you name it. I have a 21 ft north river comander. Looking for some one to show me the ropes up there for winter Steelhead.

I wouldnt run a sled in the green, but believe it or not i have seen it done . There are miles of good bank access on the green for steelhead. Right under the highway 18 bridge and a 1/2 mile downstream is a good run. Other good places include flaming gueyser state park and palmer kanasket state park. My advice to you is to get a thomas guide and start driving, because no one will tell you thier favorite hole ;\) . This river requires time if you want to get into steelhead as it hosts small runs. Dont bother fishing for kings because they time the opening of the green so that all you catch are nasty beat up ones not even fit for the smoker. This river does host a generous run of silvers, which are mostly found below the auburn/black diamond bridge.
