Has anyone floated and fished the Skykomish this week?
Plan to float the Sky tomorrow.
Would like to know which stretch (upper or lower) I can find Coho.
Appreciate any info!

the sky is full of coho from the hatchery down to Marysville, Anywhere in there will produce. Watch the river level guage tonight to make your final decision. I'm hooking the boat up now, probably going to Sultan.

We did Sultan to Ben Howard on Wednesday and got skunked. Everyone we talked to (3 other boats and a dozen or so bankies) had the same luck, although one boat said they had two touches on bait but no solid hookups.

Finding fish is not the problem...they're everywhere. Getting them to bite is the hard part. I'm looking forward to chums just to get some confidence back.

Fished the Sky Wednesday (10/13) in the Sultan area from the bank. Lots of silvers showing off but no takers.

Did manage to CNR two mean-spirited chums. Both aggressively took a Blue Fox spinner (size 3 -blue body, silver blade).

If only the coho would do the same!

Good Luck, SloMo

Thanks for all your info.
The guage is not looking too good right now.
Looks like it might get blown out over night.
Maybe Chumskies will come in early after this rain.
I'm cool with that!

hit sky wednesday as well. hit one on a k-12 and another pulling a spin-n-glow/shrimp. I was actually out just enjoying a float, and only fished one hole, briefly. Plenty of fish, and they'll bite. Just be willing to experiement

Fished the Sky yesterday at startup. Ton of fish everywhere. One taker a lot of splashing
plenty of boats. The Chum are up there you just have to know where to look. Harrased them for a bit and went home to see the seapigs lose and my cardinals lose. An overall OK day. The Chums were pretty skanked out, they have been there a while. I hope the new run comes in fresher and bigger numbers.

Misplaced- Was that you I saw up there? I was solo in the sled with the yellow lab. Never did connect with anything yesterday. Nice to meet you.
