...between 'nice fish and 'a**hole!'.

Fished a crowded hole for three days in a row last weekend and made several observations...

I got spanked pretty hard on saturday while nearly everyone else that put in their time got fish. I was fishing down in the tailout all morning and caught myself muttering 'a$$hole' when guys in the head of the hole hooked up.

Later in the day I'd made my way up the bank a little bit and caught myself cheering the same dude who earlier in the day had been one of the a**holes. Hehe...I mentioned that fact out loud and someone asked how that line was drawn.

Earshot, right?

Proximity, yes.

Not unlike the difference between debating hot button topics with someone in person vs. via the internet.

Proximity, yes. When you really learn this lesson is when you mutter "a$$hole" under your breath with kids in your boat, then the kids turn and yell it to the guy!!!! This has major pucker factor! Weren't my kids by the way!
