Hey all,
I was driving to Hoodsport on Saturday and saw some guys trucking around some flats on 101. Is this the keenedy creek I keep hearing about. It's on 101 I think after the turn off for 3. I might have to try it out. The area looked pretty fun to fish. Any info would be great!

If you fish the flats there watch out for the mud. See more people down there trying to pull their feet out of that sticky stuff and some even having to get help doing so. Stay close to the creek and stay on the hard stuff. If you get stuck and the tide comes in you are in big trouble.

Hungry....personnaly, I'd go to Hoodsport instead...
The hole at K.C. is small and very crowded when the fish are in...If snagging bothers you, it'll make you upset. The mud is really fun...The first time I went I had my two boys and as kids do...they became big mud balls...

Their mother did not appreciate the sport of fishing that day..

A good alternative if you want to fish in that general area is Mud Bay Rd at Hwy 101. McClaine creek empties into that area and you can fish the channel at low tide. Really muddy there too.....but...It's a big area with lotsa fish.... PM me if you need more details

Hey all,
Thanks for the info. I really appreciate it. I don't think my wife would like mudballs coming home either, so I might have to leave them at home...lol!

Thanks

John's Creek is not too much further down the road. A lot more room and fish.

Passed by Kennedy around 6pm this evening and apparently someone let the word out and so there are combat fishermen lined up both banks. Hood Canal beaches whereever you can access them publicly are much better in my opinion since there is way more space and hardly any souls. Plus no mucking around ;\)
