I use a "5 bead chain", then a 4/0. Use the fastener closest to the head(not the tail one). Works good for me.

This being said, I find plugs where other fishermen that have done it other ways sooooooooo is there a right way???? I just do what has worked well for me.

Regular Warts---4 or 5 bead chain, off same fastner, 2/0 or 3/0 hooks.

Like to use "the chain"...have watch many silvers doing the "spin cycle" and just don't lose many fish with my plugs setup this way.

"Bohemian death spiral. " I'm not sure where I got the Bohemian from, but the death spiral part sure is easy to derive. I couldn't mumify a landed silver in mono any better than they can do it themselves during battle.

That's why I love the vintage tidewater ho. Nothing but long explosive runs and airborne gymnastics.
