well here's what I know:
1. Fished 1 of the local rivers, wednesday, nothing. Normally, this time of the year do quite well.
2. Friday, yesterday, fished the river with the "killer boat launch", those that fish this river know what I'm talking about. Same as comment #1........ran clear above the "forks" and fished most of the pockets that have produced fish in past 25+ years.
3. Leaving soon to try the main, major river...then I'll know for sure.
Heard thur the "grapevine" that the tribe is "way over" thier quota. What a rip off for what should be a "good sports fishing area" and a real help to the local area, with additional monies......
Not sure we still need to have both tribal and non-tribal gill netting in the Chehalis system. We are 1 of the VERY few states that allows any type of "gill netting".
WDF---is concerned about "lack of funds", maybe its time for a change in the way they think.........I believe that sports caught fish bring in "way more dollars" than a commerically caught fish. Interesting that Canada have change the fishing regulations to favor more sports caught fish........with good results.
Fishing time!!!!!!!!!
