There are 4000 some odd registered users on this forum, yet the petition to ban potential pollution in Alaska on the thread at the top of this page only has about 800 signatures. Whats up with that?

Sign it, and leave a note about what kind message this measure will send to out-of-state sportsmen---the backbone of Alaska's economy---if it is passed. Alaska's neo-natzi anti environmentalist friendly governer is likely to do what he wants anyway, you may as well give him something to think about.

...vote Bush out of office. A democrat president is much more likely to use whatever executive powers he can to support the spirit of your petition.

h2o, I can't stand George Bush. For more reasons than I care to list here. But I'm not willing to cut off an arm to save a hand (so to speak) by voteing for John Kerry (Can't do it---wouldn't be prudent).

John Kerry is a far bigger can of worms. It's a sad state of affairs that our choice of a leader in this country has boiled down to these two clowns.

Sol_on_the_Duc - I'm with you on this topic. I don't like my choices this year but it boils down to I cannot vote for someone who blames EVERYTHING on his opponent. "It's ALL his fault. HE is the blame. Vote ME in & I'll NEVER make a mistake & EVERYONE will have EVERYTHING they want & will NEVER DIE!!!

h2o and I had something of a discussion via PM's last night and we basically agreed to disagree and respect each others opinion. Polictics and religion are two subjects I don't generally discuss with the opposition because it's tandamount to pounding sand.

I will say this: Our chice of President in the upcoming election is not going to be based on who's best for the job, it's going to be based on who sucks less.
