Skagit River opens for chum retention



Action: Skagit River opens for chum retention October 30, 2004.



Effective Date: October 30, 2004



Species affected: Chum salmon



Location: Skagit River from mouth to Cascade River.



Reason for action: The projected chum run is expected to be greater than the escapement goal. Surplus chum are available for harvest.



Other information: The salmon bag limit will be three fish, of which no more than 2 may be chum, with a minimum size of 12 inches. All chinook must immediately be released unharmed.
