Does anyone know of a good guide for sturgeon on the Snohomish? I've read all I can and talked to people who fish it, but I need to learn more. So far I've only caught one, and lost 4 others in about 15-18 trips.

Yes, Wade Erickson of Fish- On! Guide service. He is well known for sturgeon fishing.

If you need another seat filled - I'd be willing to go in for 1 or 2 seats for the snohomish.

Try Hook line and sinker In Smoky Point. I believe my buddy was hooked up by them and had a good trip...
If you need another seat filled I would enjoy a dinosaur fishing lesson

My guess is they will hook you up with Wade Erickson. I know someone who has gone sturgeon fishing with him on the Columbia a few times. He wouldn't keep booking trips with Wade if the trips weren't good.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll contact these guys. Probably what I'll do is book a trip and post here for an open seat.

I got Cal's number several months ago, and called him (left messages) and emailed. He never called back. Someone said he got busted for taking people out without a licnese. I don't know what the story is but he never bothered to call or email me.

I booked a trip on the Columbia with Wade a few years ago. At the start he asked us what size fish we wanted to fish for. We decided to go for the trophy monsters. I knew we were in for a fish when Wade pulled out a 4lb Shad for the bait! 30 minutes later we were into our first fish. We played tag team on it until we finally brought the monster to the boat. It was just over 9' long! After about 10 minutes fighting this thing my hands hurt so bad I would have to hand the rod off to someone else to play the fish. We got into one other monster sized fish of over 7' and one that was just under the slot size. All in all a great day on the water. Wade was very informative and is a great guy. You would not do wrong to book a trip with him!
