Hey all,
Meet the newest member of the family...
Tyler (aka TJ) Anthony Johnson...born 0315 on Fri., Nov. 5th, 2004. He is with Jenny, his new mom (duh!) in the pic, above.
TJ is our first grandchild...yep, I now be a (step) GrandPa! (Yikes...I ain't old enough for this!)
TJ is also the nephew to another Piscatorial Pursuits member, that being Chad, aka SalmonSlayer, Doris's son. Chad's got a couple boys of his own, and is a hardcore Salmon and steelhead fisherman who knows his way around the local rivers down there in the Chehalis area. TJ's dad, Andy, is also quite the fish hunter, so between us three TJ us sure to get an early education in the arts of the rod and reel.
The new GrandMa is quite pleased, as well. Her daughter, Jenny, and Jenny's husband, Andy, have been trying for a couple years now to get one of these little "bundles of joy". Jenny called at 11:00 PM on Thurs., and told her mom..."You guys get down here...NOW!".
Jenny had been in labor since about 3 that afternoon, but didn't know it since the labor took the form of leg cramps. She thought it was no big deal...till those cramps really started to hurt around 9 PM, when she called the her mom, crying because her legs were cramping so bad. Doris told her to "IMMEDIATELY" call the doc.
We left home in a hurry at 11 PM, and it was a 240 mile drive to the hospital in Longview. Got there at 3, and due to the babies big size (8 lbs. 1 Oz.) and Jenny only being 5 foot nuthin, the docs had no choice but to do an emergency C-section when TJ's heart rate dropped and didn't come back up. All went well. (BTW, he is WILD, unclipped and staying that way..)
Here's Grandma and the new Grandpa with TJ and
no sleep:
Mom and baby are doing great...we got home last night (finally) at about 8 PM, and off to bed we went for much needed
