Am planning on crossing the border from Vancouver to do some shopping for fishing gear.Possibly some forum members could help me find the best stocked fishing stores in Bellingham.I am really hoping to pick up a large quantity of prepainted jig heads on strong ,good quality hooks. Thanks in advance.

Dynamite:

One of my favorite tackle stores in BC is on Westminister Hwy., just east of No. 6 Rd. Can't recall the name of the place...good stuff and good prices on most all but rods/reels.

In B'Ham you got Yeagers, and in Mt. Vernon try Norther Sales (College Way exit, go left under fwy and 2 blks on right.

Also there is Holiday Market. Exit Hwy 20, go right 1 blk., then left on Hwy. 20. , behind the Holiday Market on your left.

Thanks for the help guys .The store you refer to is Berry's bait and tackle in Richmond,I already purchase most of my gera from them. However ,In Canada there is a lack of many quality products such as jig heads.Being a guide ,I need good quantities of jigheads so I can tie up enough jigs in the off season to last the year (300-400).The jig heads we get have garbage hooks, any large salmon or steelhead can straighten them out if you don't nurse them in.Also looking for interchangeable soles for my korker boots and bulk spinner components.I recently picked up some Mor tac spoons (awesome product),but cannot find good quality hooks to use on them ,any suggestions (gammys are my favorite). Also sick of having to retie my set up ,after every sturgeon I catch ,as the sliders we have available are garbage, the weight and snap swivel constantly break off. Thanks again for any help.I will probably head to Yeagers ,also my wife enjoys the shopping variety available across the line ,not to mention our Canadian dollar is getting stronger and stronger.

If you really want to save some money make your own, especially with the numbers you're talking about. The best place I've found is located at http://www.barlowstackle.com/ . You can buy everything including the hooks. Hope this might help.

LFS Marine in Bellingham. I have never been there, but they have great deas at the sportsman shows. I buy from them every year at the sportmans sows. I looked them up for you. I found some curly tail colors I have never seen before. I bought them in bulk packaging.

LFS is a commercial fishing store. I don't spend my money at a store that also sells gill nets!!
