Passed one going through one of the rapids in the Calawah a few days back. Did not have a chance to grab it ... but onviously not supposed to be that far upstream!!!!!!!!!! Wonder if I could hit a human's rear end at 100 yards with my bow bow while they tend a net ?? With late-season coming up, I usually have it with me every day ... looks like time for some blunts in the quiver

Hey Bob If you start to offer blunt to butt drifts can I be your first customer. I doubt the second trip would be as productive. If we had time I could even sneak my sage into my bow case.

I like the fact that there is no offer ( written, expressed or implied ) to return it

Belief it or not but an honest and responsible guy like ourself trying to do a good deed can get into serious harassment by the game department, local police, and tribal game. It happened to a good friend of mine trying to retrieve a lost net from the Duwamish below Boeing. Sirens, lights, and helicopters too.

Sol, I am glad and feel grateful of your actions. The biggest B.S. is when the officials looking and going out of their ways to make a nasty scene on responsible people like yourself and my friend. As for me, I haven't found any nets yet but rest asure that I will be doing the same as you. Since we're at it, a college buddy of mine went fishing with me on the Snake about 8 years ago. He actually wasn't fishing at all but only my companion. I was the only person doing the fishing and this was his first time ever witnessing someone fishing for steelhead. Well, he got bored so he walked the shore to look for useless stuff. Finally he found a mono line tied to a rock. Being bored out of his mind so he curiously pulled this line in to find a hook with bait. And out of nowhere here comes a gamie and wrote him up for fishing without a license. This B.S. took us to the Colfax court house and ended up paying for the full fine as written. Since this day, this city boy is still a city boy. No matter how hard I tried to pursuad him to go fishing with me, he always reminded me of this stupid incident and refuse every time. Nice huh??

I hooked onto a ten foot chunk of one on the mouth of the hoh. What a bunch of bs just leaving a piece of gill net stuck on a snag right in the middle of the river!!
