Whats the difference between a new Fish-Rite and Willie. I swear when I have parked my willie next to one at the gravel bar i have wondered if Willie makes the boats and Fish Rite slaps there name on it.

No, the factorys are right across the street from each other though.

That's because some of the guys walked and started to build their own boats. Sometimes happens when management and laborers don't see eye to eye.

The guys that started Fish-rite did come from one of the other aluminum boat builders in the area. There are several down in the Medford Oregon area. Alumaweld, Willies, Fish-rite and I am sure there are a few more. I own a 20 ft Fish-rite Explorer and am pleased with the boat. All the above boats are good boats. Some have different features. You just have to check them out for yourself to see what you like. The Sportsmans show in Puyallup has a large line up of most of the makers of aluminum boats. I ordered mine through US Marine Sales out of Olympia.
