The Puget Sound Anglers Sno-King chapter is having fishing guide Rob Endsley of Pacific NW Sportfishing as the guest speaker on December 14 at the Edmonds Yacht Club at 6:30 PM. There will be a raffle with dinner and drinks available for those coming straight from work. For anyone who hasn't met Rob, he will open your eyes to a few facts about local rivers. He did a fantastic job at Salmon University earlier this year. As a matter of fact, I'd say he was the high point.

I am looking forward to Rob's presentation. He will be talking about local river fishing, Alaska fishing, and saltwater fishing. He is also part of the new steelheaduniversity.com We talked for a while on the phone yesterday. What a great guy. You get to ask a professional guide questions. How often does that happen?

Not only will we be having Rob but we will have Whitney Potter from the Edmonds Hatchery and net pens to gather some help from the club to keep these projects going. One of the prizes will be a Uniden Voyager handheld VHF radio! When I bought this for the club, it was so nice, I bought one for myself. It's small and compact. Comes with a lithium ion battery, ac & dc charger, 3 year warranty, triple watch, memory scan, all NOAA weather channels, USA, Canadian, International channels, 1/5 watt, and more. We use ours to talk between camp and boat when fishing. I have always wanted one of these since fishing Tofino when two guys were in a 58' wood boat. They hit a rock and split the side open. They were taking on water and had about a foot to go before they were under water. They had no raft, survival gear, or handheld radio and no CG close. This was before sun up and still dark. Scary. The CG zodiac made it. This is where the handheld would be handy. Waiting to hear from our treasurer about the other prizes.
