I haven't been down there...I usually go once per year, usually at night for some glowballing.

Here's a good place to start, though...

Hatchery Escapement Reports

This is the weekly hatchery escapement numbers for Washinton hatcheries...looks like as of last week there were only about 150 winterruns in the hatchery down there, but that could have changed a lot this week with the high water...Thanksgiving is usually the time for the first big push of winter fish.

Assuming, of course, there is a big push of winter fish this year!

Fish on...

Todd

Blue Creek was awful this morning. Parking lot looked like mid-season crowds and only saw a dark summer-run fish in a couple of hours at the point. Left disgusted by 9:30. Seemed a lot like last season.

Fished the area yesterday and saw the net come out about 5 times in the last hour of daylight or so. We were above it watching the show. There are still quite a few summer runs and some nice little winter brats starting to show. I had never been to Blue Creek before so my buddy took his sled down there to show me the area just before dark. Not as many people as I expected.

Boat traffic ? Well you can pretty much bet after Thanksgiving it is like driving 405 around 4:00 in the afternoon.

Friday was very busy, saw 25-30 fish boated, about half summer and half new winter fish.

Saturday the boat traffis was about 2/3 of Friday and the bite was way slower as was Sunday, with even less boat traffic.

Ditto.

No incompetent inbred white-trash boat traffic antics to deal with. Why would a self respecting member of the human race visit BC ;\) any time other than after dark.
