NOFISH and I pushed off from the hatchery ramp at daylight yesterday with expectations as high as Mt. Rainer: The river was dropping fast and the gauge read 30 feet, water clarity was easily 1-foot and the brats should have been thundering upstream. \:\)

We anchored up in a spot that has produced well for us under the exact same conditions on years previous and flogged the path of fish travel for six hours to no avail. In that period of time we saw one of the thirty-some folks bank fishing Tall Timbers land *ONE* fresh winter brat. \:\( WOW.

I hope it picks up soon. By the way, the gate was open into Tall Timbers this weekend.

Yeah, Patrick does have the tendancy not to catch fish...At least I think he gave up his expirementing days with that damned pink worm that never worked ;\)

I'm glad to see that a skunk trip by yours truly is enough to bring you out of the woodwork \:D \:D

Are we still on for this weekend? And I am by no means done experimenting with the pink worm!

Easy on him Drew! He's had a couple of NOFISH trips lately.

What Bucket fails to mention Drew is that if I had a buddy in the boat who had passed Netting 101 I wouldn't be living up to my moniker \:D

Drew: Keep it up, bud, I think I accidently left the propane bottle open!

Pretty slow today, for me anyway. Did get one huge native summer run pushing 20lbs. Saw about 8-10 fish caught, nothing spectacular though, should of been better, or atleast that is what I was thinking. Good to get out their anyway.

Calawah fish. I've seen a couple spawned out 20+ pound summer steelhead come off this river in November and December in my day. Good to know they are still around. \:\)

Maybe, if this fish was just cruising around the tail out of the hatchery hole and lost or searching for some snacks, and yes it was released for all about to jump me with regarding remarks. Very nice fish, still had some shine, but with a big swath of red. Maybe I will do better on Wednesday, well see.
