Well guys this was my last weekend for Humptulips Kings. I've fished it every weekend day since it opened. Superfly, Timber, and everyone else who fishes this fishery knows that it's truly a fun fishery. Every trip we brought home the one king per person limit. Out of all those kings only one was showing some greyish color. All the others were sea liced. We never got any monsters, all were cookie cutters of 30- 35lbs. It's a fishery that never gets old. Whether it be watching that float disapere or the slam of a wrapped Kwiki, both are sure to get you going! We fished Hanson Rd. down to Reynvaans today with the river running a thick emerald green. Not a whole lot of visability but maybe 2-3 feet. First hole, let out a brand spankin new Witch Doctor Kwik fish wrapped of course. Feel it hit bottom, raise the rod and free spool it on out. Set it in the rod holder. Grab next rod, and began the wrap. Look over to see how the action is on rod #1, and it's burried deep. 30lb Sea lice hen. Let rod #2 out and began to unravel the mess in the net. Before I've got this taken care of slam, fish #2. 20lb sea lice buck. Then it settled down for a bit, like a 2 minute bit... Back into the action with a 25lb sea lice buck. Well, done with the kings and onto the silvers. We could only manage to find two clippers today though. Lots of wild fish though. Had a great day on the river, the weather was awesome, coulda been a bit warmer but I'll settle. Well kings it's been a fun season, see you again next year!
