I was at the local minimart last night and glanced at the cover of Fishing and Hunting News. It appeared that the fish on the cover had been doctored. The fingers holding the fish seemed a little larger than natural. Did anyone else notice this? Maybe someone here knows the dude with the huge fingers?

I actually saw that fish last year. It was big but not as big as the picture shows. They caught it right below me last year up on the East fork.

Do you think the picture is doctored? It is kind of hard to tell. It could just be that he is holding the fish out.

I saved the pic from the cover to my desktop, blew it up to 300%, and could then see that the guy is holding the fish at the absolute end of his arms..fully extended...which makes the fish (and his fingers) look much larger than they should be.

Hey Skeets:

Have you learned to stay awake in the boat for a whole day yet??? \:D \:D \:D or do we still need to put you down for your nap just after lunch time???

If you can stay awake for the whole day maybe we can go fishing again soon.

Fish and fingers always look bigger when a wide angle lens is used on a camera and the fish is held at arms length. It is the physical property of a wide angle lens. You'll see this in any situation with a 35MM or wider lens when the fish is held at arms length toward the camera.
