Be interesting to see how the Hoh diversion does with this one. Looks like the 101 gage is down, but the Queets is approaching 50,000 CFS. The Hoh's gotta be smokin' too. Maybe if Eric gets down that way today he can take some pictures??????

Ya, I'm curious to. The guage is back up I believe it hit 25,000 not a huge flow for the Hoh but a good test of the project.

just getting dried off from a short walk to see for myself and thankfully, the river is only lapping at the front yard, not quite ready to start pouring in.......yet.

i could however FEEL the river flowing by me through my feet.

the water in the pic is coming from Beaver Creek and is still rising......

H2O, That is serious volume of water coming from the Beaver creek.
Hope it will subside real soon.

There's a bright side to our now volitile watersheds: the hydrographs drop almost as fast as they go up. It's looking good for Monday. Never would have guessed it last night.

Yes, it would be interesting to see how the Hoh log jam project weathered the recent high water. It was not a record flow for the Hoh by any stretch but it was a good sized "rain on snow" event that resulted in instantaneous flows approaching 31,000 cfs.

The Queets seemed to get higher than the Hoh to me... possibly more precip or more snow melt??? It was getting close to 65,000 cfs. Even for the Queets this is a pretty good high water event. Of course, the gage on the Hoh measures flow from a watershed area close to half that of the watershed area measured by the Queets gage so there is some similarity expressed by the data.
