Somebody asked me in the "Tater guns and the pokey" thread to post pics of the tater gun my dad made for me.

Here she is in all her glory. You can see the stand and the levers that tighten the gun to the stand. If you just losen them a crack, you can rotate the gun to any elevation.




Here is the door I mentioned that is hinged from the inside so the compression of the blast will hold it closed even tighter.



There are to tabs on the handle, so when you open the door one tab holds it open. When you close it, the other holds it closed, as shown here.



Somebody asked how the barrel was welded to the chamber. Here is a shot, although it is getting a bit rusty. Keep in mind, this is the first time in about 5 years I have even seen this thing!!



This is a shot of the fuse hole. It has a pipe ring welded on to protect the hole, and to shield it from wind and keep from getting dinged up. It fits a black cat firecracker perfectly!



I needed something to put on here for a size/scale reference, so that is my cell phone sitting on the chamber to give an indication of the size of this thing.



Hope you all enjoyed the pics! Now if I can figure out how to mount this thing to the bow of the Ugly Bayliner, them sealions down on the Columbia will have something to think about next time they grab one of my fish!!

Ok, so why don't my pics show up????? I see pic icons when I first open the thread, then they slowly disappear into just a dash.......I don't get it!!
