Apparently the wildlife watchers and hunters kicked butt on the anglers when it came to gathering signatures.

Dang, I wanted one of those fish plates (even if the specie was in question)

Hopefully they will come out with a more suitable species on the plate.

Due to lack of angler interest, there are now no plans to issue any fish plate of any kind. Only plates for hunters and wildlife watchers will be produced.

Seems like it is very difficult to get any interest from anglers no matter what the subject. Lots of jawboning but almost never any action. I suspect most anglers expect someone else to take care of things. Too bad.

Maybe if the state actually did something to make us proud of what we have here thing would be different.If they sold a fish plate that the money ONLY went to that resource then I would sign up, but it sounded like just another way to get more of our money. Now that Gary Grid-Locke is on his way OUT, we can turn this fishery thing around and get some one to help us instead of hindering our progress, something to finally make us proud, should that happen, I will be the first to sign up....

Have to agree with you Gramps ... I've heard a few hoots from the plunkin' crowd about the reduced limit on wild fish this year.

Since I didn't see a single one of these people at any of the meetings that have been held regarding this issues. I can only say that you had your chance to put in your $.02 before it passed and you chose not to
