Does anyone get the 406 Outdoor Channel? I get 30,32,34 on comcast that occasionally have salmon, steelhead, and bottomfishing like we have here in the NW. I am not a fan of bass fishing and that is the primary fishing on there. I emailed Larry Czonka and they said they are putting together more North to Alaska that will be on soon. Are these types of shows on 406? If so I will get it added.

North to Alaska is on 406. I usually watch In Fisherman which is also a 406 show.

Larry Czonka is a cracker. Anybody that lands a Coho, picks it up waving it around telling the viewers how great they are by the gills and then throws it back in the water and says "now go make more of you" needs the be slapped. Now the slapping will have to be done by Dick Butkus but it needs to be done!

Channel 406, the OUtdoor Channel, is a darn sight better than Channel 404 in my opinion.

Still, there's lots and lots and lots of whitetail hunting from towers & stands over foodplots and feeders. Lots & lots of bass fishing, too. Plenty of fly-in caribou hunting, etc.

Bill Dance and all those good ol' boys are on 406.

406 also has Guns & Ammo TV and the American Rifleman as well as a couple of shooting shows.

The show "Columbia Country" on Comcast 14 is the only PNW fishing show that I've run into.

So, is 406 worth adding? Check it out for a month. It doesn't cost much to add it on your package.

You can always log onto the Outdoor Channel website & check their schedule.

99 % of those fishing shows don't know how to release fish. I'd like to see that Butkus Zonk slap fest.

Thanks, I am not a hunter nor bass fisherman. Thats why I was asking. My cable bill is rediculous at almost $100.00 a month. Been OK since laying around after back surgery. Still not my type of fishing enough. Got a ways to go yet. Who would win Dick or Larry? Is North to Alaska on 406 lately or a while back? It was on the other channels till a few months ago.
