40+ boats down the Bogey today with bank fishing folks everywhere----WOW. Ugly was the word. I took one look at the back-up at the ramp this morning and did a u-turn for upstream. It was still a circus when I got down to the hatchery. Guess it's time to start plying the Hoh for her hidden treasure. ;\)

I did manage to put the first nate of the season on the beach. This beautyful chromer didn't have a mark on him. They really do put brats to shame.

The hatchery fishing sucked, BTW. NOFISH hooked the only brat we touched today, but paid the price for missing knot tieing 101---SNAPOLA. Between his knots and Buckets neting ability it's a wonder these guys have ever boated a fish. \:D

I fished the Bogey yesterday and did okay but the fishing was overshadowed by the number of people. Over 60 boats launced and the bankies were eveywhere. The reports I heard were pretty crappy as most of the fish already seem to have gone into the creek. I talked to a friend of mine who said a radio-station in Seattle was putting fish counts on their station. There is no chance that I'll be back on the Bogey for a little while.

It's nice to know the crowds aren't just at Reiter etc. Reiter actually was a normal place today.

Maybe a cotten candy or scone vendor could set-up in the hatchery parking lot on the Bogey for the holidays. Add some organ grinding music and the scene will be complete. \:D
