to use with a bait caster? Looking at a 10' Lami 8-12lb. Any suggestions? Need to spend a little of that bonus money on an x-mas present for myself.

Thanks!

If'n I were looking for a new float rod, this would likely be my choice:

Lamiglas Cert. Pro: X 12 MS

12’, 3/8-3/4 oz., 6-12 lb. Sugg. retail is $300. I am sure you could find it for $260 or so at a number of their retail outlets.

Yep..for pure float rod that would be my choice. Next in line is the Dave Vedder 10'6" float rod. (Sorry Dave...that one's bigger than yours..!)

Mike

p.s. Just noticed you said BAITCASTER..yep...go with the Lami Cert Pro Dave Vedder rod. You will be pleased.

Float fishing kings?

Loomis SAR 1265...... 10.5 ft of king sized fun under a bobber.

You need two:

Chinook/Nates/Chum: Rainshadow 1264

Coho/Brats/Pinks: Loomis STR 1261 or a Rainshadow 1143C.

Hey Doc, I've used an STR 1265 before and it's a pretty stout rod, I'm wondering how much heavier the action is on a SAR 1265???

I would suggest that you look at the TH 1263c
10'6" 6-12# (Rainshadow blank)
this is a nice float rod that balances well with a smaller sized casting reel ie Shimano calcutta 250
or Ambassaedur 5500

We have a Holiday special going right now
$139 +$15 shipping

the 1264 as mentioned above is on special for $149 +$15 shipping \:D
