I saw it on the news. He called for the resignations of Rummy and all. If he had shown this kind of fire during his run at the presidency the world would be a better place right now.

I was most interested in how Al delivered his diatribe and not so much in the hackneyed stuff that he said to get applause....rmember that this was at a moveon.org rally...those are the folks that started several of you to compare Republicans to Hitler.....and call people you disagree with fascists....

Al actually looked like he was having a siezure of some kind..ranting and raving and saying "HOW DARE YOU" referring to the president. He didn't sound genuine to me but only unstable.

I was embarassed for him. Here is a guy coming out of one of the most popular presidencies ever running for office. He loses an election tries to steal it in court and then ultimately blames his failure on Bill Clintons affair and the supreme court.

Al is such a meglomaniac. If he were elected 9-11 would not have happened as it did . They would have driven a bomb down 5th avenue and blown up most of New York.

My guess is that most politicians have more than a touch of megalomania. I get such a kick out of everyone being able to predict what would have happened if something else happened. If you guys have a crystal ball that is so clear, how come you don't clean up on the lottery, stock market, etc? And if you are cleaning up, can I buy you lunch???

I have to admit that Al's tone came across as a little too dramatic for me, almost insincere.

I think we're close enough to the election that our ability to vote may result in the same result and all of the facts haven't come out from the investigations.

But I do have to say that I believe John Kerry does come across as sincere and he is going to stand up to Bush and fight / debate very well, whereas Al Gore missed the mark during the last election. I am very looking forward to the debates.

I think they both come across as in it for themsleves. I have never heard anyone from either ones extended family say , Al or John or even Clinton really wants to serve the people . GW senior and Barbara Bush have said since before the last election that they taught their kids that with their positon in life comes great resposibility to sreve the public. President Bush comes across to some as arrogant. I see it as he is not concerned with public opinion as much as he is with doing what he sees a right. Clinton was the opposite he based every decision of what the polls said. So we are seeing an extreme swing.

King - my belief is that whereas GW may not be basing actions and decisions on polls - 2 of the most powerful people in his Administration/Reelection Campaign - Karl Rove & Karen Hughes - don't do anything without looking at every poll and focus group under the sun!! Therefore GW is constantly being influenced by the polls, etc.

So you admit that everything he has done has been with a majority of support of the people of the US. Why would they do things counter to the polls? So you will be supporting the majority of the peole as you get behind the president on every issue?

TK - I didn't say he followed the polls, I said he was being influenced by the polls. For what its worth, I don't know that any President from now on will be able to act without looking at some polling numbers.

Gore get's criticised for being too wooden when he speaks and then for being too passionate. If I didn't know better I'd think that some people just didn't like the guy.

I like your poem best.... Gore is sometimes awful hard to figure out. I bet that the real guy outside of politics is a pretty good guy but pandering to the cameras makes him a looney sometimes.
