We'll probably never really know if this is credible.........not much you read is credible during an election year.

I don't find it unbelievable, though.

If true it would explain a lot.

I do not beleive this without significant substantiation. But it does merit more investigation.

sa'matter, king? Someone print something negative about GW?

If it's negative, and it's about GW, it HAS to be lies, right?

Dumbya couldn't find the button if he had to.

Fortunately for him he may be married to the most frigid woman on the planet (excluding Marilyn Quayle of course), so there is just no real urgency to learn where it is....you know what I'm saying?

The story is week old and the vultures in the main stream have not picked it up? Whooo Hooo red hot item ya got there.

I bet you guys think that the stories in the antional Enquirer are true also?

Actually there is word floating around people in the know that GW is the Anti-Christ and the rapture is upon us.

Didn't claim it was the truth. The truth is hard to find in an election year.

But I don't know it isn't the truth either.

I just figured a little anti-Bush propaganda was appropriate to balance out the anti-Kerry propaganda floating all around.

If you put your tinfoil hat on like grandpa does, this stuff won't bother you at all. \:D

Speaking of Doonesbury \:D
Garry Trudeau, the creator of Doonesbury, was a Harvard classmate of GW. In the latest issue of Rolling Stone Trudeau talks about Bush as "Just another sarcastic preppy who arrange for keg deliveries" Nothing real revealing except stating that he found GW political rise to be "confusing"
He goes on to tell about Jeb Bush personally threatening him because of his pokes at GHW Bush in his cartoon.

Yes but was Captiol Hill Blue Kerry's source when he supported clintons plan to invade Iraq in 98? Of course that was him supporting the war before he supported the war before he did not support it. Heck who needs carnival rides when you have Kerry on the election trail.

Remember Charles Royer the former Mayor of Seattle? When I was in college I was a bartender at the Coug. Chuck comes in one night for a few. He was in town for some conf. or speach. He chases a few sorority girls around until closing time. My friends and I hit it off with him and gave him free beer. We then take him back to our place for some after hours drinking. He ends up passed out on my floor with a stack of playboys and an empty bottle of tequila. I have a pic somewhere bbut what happens in Pullman stays in Pullman. Well for at least the first 25 years :p

Dans,

What do you need phones for in a small town when everyone you need to talk to will walk in the bar at some point everyday :p I can honestly say I did not use a phone once every 6 months when I was in school.

AM,

Nice try :p

If you had gone to college at all let alone in a small town you would know you live with most all your friends or they are a few blocks away. Being in a fraternity we had one phone for 65 guys and it was not used much.

4salt,

No problems there working at the Coug gave you Rock star like status :p . That night Chuck did a good job of scaring them off. Most the girls did not believe he was mayor.

AM,

Your type needs lots of affirmation. You cannot get it in the real world so you create an online identity like Aunty M and try to hang with a bunch of men. Lots of psychologigal background on people like you. Real sad stuff mostly.

Sometimes we just don't care what you are tallking about. Do the voices in your head understand what you are saying? Or do they say: Be afraid...be very afraid.....

My good buddy Slabquest was musing one day about you and wondered if you ever went fishing or you got up every day and gnashed your teeth and held your head in your hands agonizing in worry about the state of the world so much that you couldn't leave the house.....

I think he might be right.....

I am going to take a big risk and go fishing again this weekend. I can only cross my fingers that Bush doesn't destroy the whole world while I'm gone and all those chicken hawks find true love. I'm sure you'll stand guard while I'm away.

Now when Slab comes back from a week of fishing he may want to read the definition of your latest slam.....seems to have its roots in the Marine corps.....

Robert L. Chapman, in _Dictionary of American Slang, Third Edition_ (1995), writes that "pogey" comes "perhaps fr[om] the common name of the trash fish menhaden, as suggesting something cheap, common, and to be caught with bait; perhaps fr[om] the Southern pronunciation of _porgy_, another fish of a similar quality" and "pogey bait" is "so called because they could be used in the seduction of boys and young men, _pogue_, into homosexual acts."

In your world quoting little known lyrics and has been dead comics passes as some sort of intellectualism. In my world we just call guys like you Douche bags. :p Now to be PCC and put the french spin on it you lefties like how aut Le Douche bag. I like it H20LeDouchebag! :p :p :p

Hilarious.

You write that yourself (There's a first time for everything, apparently)? If so, let me be the first to say that trying to make a french word even 'frencher' by adding 'le' is the epitome of stupid.

That joke wouldn't even fly in carrot tops set...I wonder what kind of prop he'd use?

As far as musical obscurity goes smart guy, the lyrics I quoted are from a song that was number one for several weeks in 1981. That you fail to recognize them is the point of even putting them up in the first place. I don't expect you to get it, its only for those that catch the reference. Every one else is supposed to go 'Huh, what?'...looks like it worked.

I'll bet you hate Dennis Miller, too. Always throwing obscure references out there forcing your pea brain to actually work instead of writing another dick joke. I'll bet you think dick jokes are hiolarious.

Doesn't it follow that if someone is dead, they are a has been? You couldn't successfully argue your way out of a moistened Kleenex, no less argue comedy or music with a true fan. Why the F would you even want to bother except for an excuse to call me a douche bag?

In the end you'll only look like even more of an ass, if that's even possible. I have a whole littany of names I've been saving in reserve for you Elvis....They're listed from least to most vulgar. I wonder how far down that list I'd have to get before you tattle taled like a baby?

H20,

Speaking in lyrics and quotes says " I am stuck in the 8th grade" besides Blondie is not worth quoting lyrically IMHO. find some one decent at leasst. I would be willing to bet there is not a type of music other than glam rock or punk that you could stump me on.

"When I became the sun,
I shone life into the man's hearts," Name that Tuna if you want to play!

BTW, I love Dennis Millers comedy I do not get prop comedy So CT is out. It seems most comics today copy Richard Pryor.

Proves your profound idiocy. When did you learn how to google?

I don't quote lyrics because its a game, I quote them for reference when they are sentient to the conversation.

For the record, I hate Blondie, nyc post-punk, glam and everything else that reeks of the record industry I revile.

Nearly every lyric ever written is on the web...are you challenging me to a google fight?

Wuss....

No google just what you know or in my case what my wife knows we have a huge music library about 5 gigs of storage.

I grew up in the 60's with young parents that listened I love music and listen to big band, folk ,bluegrass, classical, opera, Jazz, rock, Old country and all the offshoots of each. Just not anything pop,rap or top 40 from any period. Lately it has been different forms of Metal. I missed the early metal movement because I worked 80 hours a week at that point in my life. Some of the new stuff is interesting.

PS

Read ALL of their lyrics. There could not be a more left leaning band. In fact they are such heavy contributors to political organizations the nickel you gave them by buying their album probably went straight to Diane Feinstein.

Do you know anything about where they come from? Do you know the history behind their politics? Do you own ANY records that can't be heard on the radio?

Chump.

Lyrics are never sentient to the conversation after middle school so if figured it was a game.

I am using widows and Bill is a lib. My truck was made by leftist labor unions. Some are played on the radio I even hear one everynow and again as the background for some silly robber baron companies commercial. If you made a dime in the recording business it is very " The H word" to claim some higher ground vs the labels. It;s so Eddy Vedder wanna be to cut out the middleman unless you play for free and have open access and play for free.
