Check out this car guys, we all need one of these for night trips across I90 or to "zip" out to the peninsula.

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

I'd keep that one on the 1/4 mile strip........unless you have an overwhelming desire to get killed. \:D

10K horse? I find that a little hard to believe. Top-fuel dragsters burning methanol put out about 6-8K, and they're hitting 325 in a 1/4 mile.

An old acquaintence of mine who will remain nameless says his gets 18 gallons to the mile. If I remember correctly he is running a General Electric J-34 jet turbine. I think the fuel line was about 1 or 1 1/2 inch diameter. Either way it is huge. I don't know what a combustion engine with that much horsepower would burn though.

No way you get 10k hp out of a V8. maybe 10k rpm's. Looks like a late 80's Grand AM. They where fast from the factory back then. They and Porche 928's and Z cars where the most likely to try and race. The guy that built my vette in 90 was working on a V8 vette for SCAA that turned 11k rpms.

Max power at 1076.7. Only 9000 hp off from the mentioned 10k. Oh well, after all that popping and smoke he won't do that again for a while. Time and money, he'll be ready to Dyno it again in a few months.

FYI: that was a buick grand national. i believe the were built from 86 to 89. could be wrong on that. they were equipped with a 3.8 v-6 turbo and were extremely fast right off the show room floor. the one shown was heavily modified but i am sure it still had the little v-6 in it. they are quite collectable.
