If you believe Joe McCarthy really did have a list of names of communists in the
State Department, maybe you'll believe they're forgeries.

If you believe the earth is flat, and that the emperor has lovely invisible clothes,
and that 2+2=5, and that water ain't wet, maybe you'll believe they're forgeries.

And especially if you believe that electing John Kerry means the terrorists win, then you're likely to believe they're forgeries.

Just about every objective observer in the world (except you and Dan Rather) believes that the new documents that 60 minutes 'reveiled' are likely to be forgeries.

As a young boy I can remember hearing that there wasn't a Santa Claus that brought toys to kids from my older cousin--Like all children I loved the thought of a Jolly man that brought gifts through the chimnies of all the children that had been good that year. I didn't want to believe my cousin and accused him of lying to me. Eventually I discovered that it was parents that put all the gifts under the tree--not 'Old St. Nick', and I had to come to grips with it and move on.

It's time to come to grips with the forgeries LT---and move on.

They can "believe" whatever they want. I'll wait for proof and make a decision based on the facts, the same as CBS. If or when I see some strong EVIDENCE that is definitive, I'll be glad to concede. Until then, your credibility is no better than CNS or Rush or Drudge, it's all rumor.

problem is CBS doesn't have real "facts". Don't you think that if this was solid there would be more people siding with CBS? Instead there are multiple orgs saying just the opposite, including one of Rather's peers, we don\'t need no stinking fact\'s we got money. You sure can beleive anything you want, your choice, it makes fantasy land that much more fun of a place to keep your head....

On this sublect. I see that the DNS is going to start running ads slamming Bush for other NG type stuff.

Question, Do you think it's a little late for more smeer or do you think the general public has had enough smeer? I know I have and I have really tried not listening to it anymore. I am wondering if it's one sides ploy to start out with the smeer and let the other side finish there by looking like the bad guys and turning away potential votes instead of attracting them?

All sides pointed against Sandy Berger as well and that turned out to be nothing more then a farce that is why I believe this will take a month or so to work out the true facts which ever way they fall.

Interesting point.....Definitely too much mud slinging in this election. One theory I read was that Carl Rove forged the docs knowing they would be found forged and thereby making the Dems look bad. However I do not buy into that theory.
