Cool, a new species of monkey\ape! Sounds like the humans in the area ate monkey meat from time to time.

"They suggest that Flores Man doesn't belong in the genus Homo at all"

"The tibia in the leg shares similarities with apes."

"Scientists are still struggling to identify it's jumbled features."

"Near the skeleton were stone tools and animal remains, including teeth from a young Stegodon, or prehistoric dwarf elephant, as well as fish, birds and rodents. Some of the bones were charred, suggesting they were cooked."

""There is no biological reason to call it Homo. ""

Well, at least we know it wasn't gay... LOL ;\) :p
But then again, there is no proof that being a homo is genetic.... Oh, that's another thread...

Maybe it was--and because it didn't procreate--that's why it's now extinct.

aren't you the two rocket scientists that tried to convince us radio carbon dating has been proven false?

Wasn't me. But just since you brought it up - has it been proven 'true'?

I don't think any credible scientist would say with 100% certaintly that any object can be dated with 100% accuracy.

...and pp, yes it has been proven true that carbon 14 breaks down at a reliable, measurable rate.

the only thing creationists can quibble about is how accurately we can measure that rate of decay....

..but hey, what can yopu expect from a group whose entire belief system is being held suspect by the scientific community?

It is an agrument that will never be solved either way. In both cases you have to die to find out who was right. Freud was the father of the scientific worldview on the matter. He was a very scared individual when cancer took him apart day by day and at the end wanted something more than the cold lonely absolute that he had championed for so many years.

"can quibble about is how accurately we can measure that rate of decay...."

Hmmm, that little tidbit seems kinda important. But I guess faith works both ways...

"..but hey, what can yopu expect from a group whose entire belief system is being held suspect by the scientific community?"

LOL. First, who is this 'yopu' character? ;\)

And second, there are many Christians who are also scientists.

And third - a real scientist holds everything as suspect.
