I thought about giving it a go this winter, appears to be a lot of work however

Just curious how many people do or have tried it

I keep bees so we have a lot of beeswax. It makes great soap and hand cream. It's not hard to do it right and have a product that is usable.

Not sure if you fellas know but you can pretty much pick the stuff up pre-made at any local grocery store for next to nothin!!!???

I am with ya but the wife got this soap in Vegas at the Golden Nugget. It is a oatmeal, cinnamon scent and she can't find anything in the store she likes as well. I thought it might be fun to try once and see if we could make the same stuff. Probably easier to call Vegas and order but then where would the adventure be.

Or you could always use the soap as another good reason to go back to Sin City.

Actually Lead, my neighbor makes stuff like that and it is, I have to say, good stuff. She makes me chap stick too from natural ingredients. Its is so much better for you than stuff like carmex which is petroleume based which means you are putting a crude oil product on your lips,LOL!!

I always have a stick in my fishing vest, you know how your lips get all fubared during the winter season?

Lips and fingers take a serious beating during the winter season. And if using bait forget about that top layer of skin on the fingers, it's gone.
