Need some touch up Zolatone paint. Does anyone know where I can get some in the Seattle/Everett area?

Thanks.

At one time I was going to attempt to spray my own in an old Willie I had. Seems like the only place I could find the stuff was online. If memory serves me correctly I chickened out when I learned how toxic it was, that you needed a special gun and or a special pressure to spray it, and the aluminum prep was too much work for my taste. Good luck if you do it, and post the results if you would.

Also, the recommendation I got was to definetely clear coat it afterwards. It is supposed to make it less porous and last much longer.

Definitely put a clear coat over it!! I wish Alumaweld had started doing that a year earlier.

You may call Kelly Moore, or Daleys paint. It is not that uncommon a product. Try ICI Dulux too.

You should be able to get it in a spray can too.

Spray can at the big box stores.
With some forethought I was able to match the finish in my Super Vee.

Look for the spray can that looks like granite.
You will need 3 cans
1 can to match the backround color
1 can of the speckle
1 can clear coat

Thanks for the info guys. Jerry, I called Archetecual Services and they said I can get the boat paint at any NAPA Auto Parts store. I will try to get to NAPA this afternoon and find out what they have.

Mike, I re-zolatoned my old Fishright sled. I bought my paint from the local automotive paint supply company (PPG type). Check out the zolatone website, as I think they still show a small "touch up applicator"that is powered by canned air...just add the zoaltone and push the button.

Thanks for the info. I checked the North Bend NAPA store and no Zolatone brand paint. Snit, good advice. I will take a good look at their web site. I plan on doing the touch up when I return from Tofino in a couple of weeks.

Mike
