After alot of driftboat trips on the coast this winter and last fall I am looking to do some relaxing, easy chair, and power bait fingers trout fishing. It's been years since I have done this kind of fishing so I am out of the loop. Privacy would be nice too but not necessary if the fishings fairly good. Eastern Washington would be a plus. Thanks for any input-T

There are a ton of good lakes. Heres a few you should try in eastern washington. Bonnaparte lake, wannacut lake,cocconully reservior

Not a doubt in mine that you have fished island lake, silverdale.

Not a great bank spot but float tube, or mini drifter. It can be great.

I dosen't look like much,but there are some large trout.

Eastern WA? there are a ton of lakes just over any of the passes. Ellensburg has several right next to I-90. Stocked with nice trout maybe some tripoloids? HWY 2, try fish Lake about 15 miles before Leavenworth. Resort owner plants some big trout in it. You could spend a week just fishing lakes around Ellensburg/George/Moses Lake/Pot Holes/Seep Lakes/Sun Lks.

You want BIG trout,head to Rufus Woods.

We spent the weekend over there a couple weeks back and limited on trout that averaged 5-6lbs.

A friend got one over the weekend that was 11lbs.

Take your steelhead gear,the next fish you hook might weight 20lbs.

Is concully really a good lake, or do the owners of the lodge just put up all those reports on Washingtonlakes.com? All the reports sound exactly the same, and they're always talking about how how incredible the fishing is and how nice the lodge owners are. Seems fishy to me.

There are enough independant reports that I'd say it's legit. I fished the lake once and it was crazy good. That was many years ago, though.

Thanks for the second opinion, Mike. Maybe I'll check it out sometime. The only thing is, Lone Lake is so good for trout that its sometimes hard to justify spending a bunch of money on a trip when I can get just as good of fishing 10 minutes from home. The adventure and getting to see new places makes it worth it though.

Yea I second that fishspinner....Lone lake is downright phenomenal when it comes to trout fishing...
