about the Seahawks future. I was gandering at the players we have signed this offseason. There are a ton of one year deals. Are they only forcasting their future with Holmgren? Are they not concerned with aquiring long term talent? Is this the way of an evolving NFL becuase of injury? With the boost in the salary cap, extra cap room we had already, and growing popularity of the Hawks I thought we would have some longer deals and some better talent at the needed positions (O-Line). Check out the interviews from mini camp http://seahawks.com/Home.aspx The new DT Brandon Mebane is a tank.

I don't get their TE situation...They are screwed over I think...They need to unload Hasselbeck in my opinion while he still has prime trade value....

NO WAY!!! Matt has what it takes to get us back to the bowl. Hasselbeck has probably been the best the Hawks have ever had. Green still needs some time and more snaps and I dont think Wallace can go an entire season. Who would you take in trade for Matt (has to be available)?

"Hasselbeck has probably been the best the Hawks have ever had."

I would have to go with David Kreig or Steve Largent as the best ever. Longer history of exceptional performances with the Hawks.

Largent was a reciever not a QB.

Hasselbeck has as much or more playoff experience than Kreig. Plus Matt has been to the big show (and robbed). Dont get me wrong I loved Krieg and even Zorn for that matter but Hasselbeck will be far better and take all club records if he stays and retires as a Seahawk.

Sorry, hawks are gonna suck. Frisco is gonna wax your asses .. Book it !!! ( who was it that was all the time saying that )

I'm just not a real Alexander fan. He "can" produce but usually is a no show when you really need him. Mr 1 yard touchdown guy. He's the guy who gets 140 yards against nobody, then gets stuffed by the better teams. You paid way to much for that dude.

You all know as well as I do that the Vikings are going all the way !!! ( I have said that every year for 40 years !!)

I gotta agree with J7... Zorn was good, Kreig was better, but Hasslebeck outshines them both.

I have no idea who will be Q.B - Vikings at .500 at best. Thye have built a very solid defence which is a big change.

Watch out for the Pats. I do believe that Brady to Moss will be a big hit this year. Moss is a punk but has mad skills when the ball comes his way, and he feels like going up to get it.

Mryens.. BSU will kick some Husky ass soon. They do and your wearing a Bronco's hat for a week.. deal ?? Had to listen to you pump up that pile of losers all last year. I'll be at the game and deliver in person.

[J7.."Hasselbeck has probably been the best the Hawks have ever had"]

J7, I thought you were talking about best Seahawk player ever. That's why I mentioned Largent with Kreig. I would also agree with Stam and put Kenny Easley ahead of him for best Hawk ever as well.

I'll give Hasselback a chance. One more year. I'm not saying "rush and trade him now" and I certainly think Alexander could be unloaded as well...His foot issue is still lingering...

Hasselbacks good. He gave them every chance to win that Superbowl and Stevens made sure you lost it. Matts in the top 5 QB's in the NFL right now. Plays smart, does not give up the big sack or throw the int trying to avoid the sack. Gets rid of the ball. The Vikings could use him.

Hasselbeck is steady and has experience. We have the WR's. Our defense is improving and some of the weak links in the secondary have been addressed. Biggest problem..........offensive line. Matt can't throw and Alexander can't run without them. And our special teams? Great kicker and returners. Need to tackle a little better on coverage.

If we were going to trade anybody I would prefer Alexander. And Frisco sucks. You know who scares me this year? Patriots. They're well coached(even though I hate his guts), great QB, young hungry RB, good defense and now they have two new good WR's. Watch out.

I will only admit this one time. I do have a soft spot for the Hawks. ( I'll bash them all year but will watch them on T.V) mY TEAMS ARE # 1 THE VIKINGS.. and I have always like the Chargers dating back to Fouts and company.. L.T may be the best all around football player to ever play the game.. I expect they will NOT blow it this year.. you gotta watch those guys. I actually think Frisco is going to come out on top of your divison, and I can't stand them either.. Question: how can the Cards suck so bad for so long ??

Yes! Please hand in your man card now! You may redeem your man status by attending a footbal game and be able to list 5 positions on each side of the ball. If you can not complete this task your man card will be held in suspension until such requirments are completed. A signed statment from a football coach must accompany your list verifiyng you were present at the game.

I might be testosterone challenged because of my age, but I've always been sorta' ho-hum about football because I didn't play it when I was a tall skinny kid. I have always liked best the sports that I played, team sports or not. I was always into hunting, fishing, hiking, sleeping in the woods, and BASEBALL. Of course, after puberty, I mainly hunted nookie and fished a wet fly. Keepin' the man card.
