Steve, At least they had the decency to photoshop the horse they brought for you, out of the picture... Actually, I don't think it was so much decency, but something to do with laws of the land and the witness protection program...

If thats a self portrait F4B, Little Debbie has some explaining to do... ;\)

This makes me think of something that happened to me when I was a kid. When I was 18 in 1978 I was stationed at a place called Camp Hovey in Korea with the Army. So first day there these guys take me out to town. Little place called Toko Ri right outside the compound. I am immediatly confronted with a bar full of 5 dollar hookers. I had been laid some in high school, and sort of had a girlfreind, so I tell these guys .. never, ever, never would I be doing any 5 dollar hookers. My resolve lasted until I got drunk and it was game on for the next year.

There were maybe 15 bars in this little ville, and each one had a theme of sorts. Example: Rednecks could be found at the "Cowboy" listening to sappy country western crap. Black dudes held court at the "Black Panther" P-Funk and Donna Summers on the stereo. Young White fish whistlers like myself could be found at the "Sunshine Club" where AC/DC and Black Sabbath blasted at 1 million watts. Each bar had at least 10 hookers anytime, maybe 20 on a weekend and up to 30-40 in some of the bigger bars. The chicks tried to act like the targeted crowd. You have not lived until you have seen asian hookers acting like Black chicks " You go away Honkey.. you no soul brother, you Honkey cracker white boy" strutting around with full afro's with picks stuck in em. We would mess with them just so we could listen to them talk.

5 bucks short time 10 bucks overnight. There was a 12:00 P.M curfew in the country at the time and it was nothing to go ahead and do a couple after 10:00 P.M - You could get hammered drunk, laid three times and get something to eat for 20 bucks. It was like babes in Pornland. I was a totally different type of guy when I came home, I quite letting chicks wipe their ass with me.

So, then I wound up back in the states at Ft Lewis, and hung out in Lakewood. After a few weeks I was pretty sure I was never going to get laid again. Those chicks in Tacoma hated us. You had to be some kinda slut to take a G.I home ( maybe the fact that we seemed to run in packs of 10 hurt our chances )

That was my intro to the bar scene.

B Run: As a bit older guy I can tell you how it was - back in the day. Now I would NEVER have done any of these things, but this is what I heard.

When I got back to San Diego after my boot camp leave - also at the tender age of 18 -- I ran into a buddy from boot camp. He said" Vedder you aint gonna believe it. They got .25 tequila and $5.00 hookers in Tijuana." We left that night. There were five pimps on every corner all with the same spiel - a rhyming alliteration of sorts and the price was $5.00

One night I drank so much I don’t have $5.00. All I had was $3.00. After a good bit of negotiation I got a young lady to agree to $3.00. When she got in bed she simply lifted her dress over her head. I said "Aren't you gonna get undressed?" She said, "Not for $3.00" That was a lesson in life. You get what you pay for!

Also in Tijuana one night I agreed to pay the girl ahead of time and she would n=meet me on the corner in a few minutes. Remember I was only 18. Another lesson learned.

One night I got "arrested” for pissing in an alley. The Tijuana cop let me pay the fine on the spot. $3.45, as that was all I had on me. I got paid $32.00 every two weeks that would cover cigarettes, personal items, and a drunk with hooker in Tijuana.

If the top photo was me I would send it to all my friends. Looks like he's smuggling a kilbasa in his pants.

If you change the place names to Subic Bay, Vung Tau, Yokosuka, Nha Trang, Cam Rhan Bay, Hong Kong, Dave and B-run's stories are the same as the experiences I had at the age of 19 - 20 yrs old. At least I had overnight privileges in Japan.
I turned 21 just a few days before I got back to the states. Blew thru 12 months combat pay in one weekend in the San Fran topless bars. Damn that was fun.

If that top photo looked like me, I'd be gracious as it's not nearly large enough to step on, unlike my current situation \:\)
