So, another cat story.
Sunday, we had a bunch of people over at the house for a BBQ. My wifes niece from Spokane came and they brought their dog " Nugget" This dog is a stumpy little thing, its a Welsh Corgi and I guess they paid a bunch of money for it. Anyway, it was an O.K dog and caused no problems. They were getting ready to leave and we were out in the driveway and this dog is standing next to their car waiting to jump in. Out of nowhere, comes one of our cats " Twix" all hissing and just nailed this dog and ran under their car. We all went " wow, that cats pissed off" then look down at this massive bloody eye ball on this dog, blood drip drip dripping on the driveway. Their kid immeadiatly starts screaming, my wife freaks out. It looks bad. I figure the eye ball itself is ripped and dollar signs are going through my head ( and I also felt bad for the dog) Ran into the house and grabbed a towel, went back out and started holding it over the dogs eye. The dog is still standing there panting all happy, tail wagging etc. I took the towel off to get a better look and we could see that it actually had a cut on its eye lid and not its eyeball, and after awhile it stopped bleeding. It was amazing how bad it looked to start with.
I have never seen a cat attack a dog unless the dog had it cornered. They leave our dog alone, and he goes after them all the time.

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

My buddy had a badass tom cat when we were in high school. He'd throw this cat at dogs, spin him around in the dryer, and toss him off the rope swing into the lake. Our other buddy had this poodle he always said was a real tough dog. One day we were in Chris' room......the cat was sitting on the foot of the bed. Tony's poodle came over, stood on the floor at the end of the bed, and growled at the cat. The cat looked down, pounced on the poodle, and smacked it in the head a dozen times in about a second. Tony's poodle yelped, and ran peeing down the stairs. We both looked at Tony and said "Tough dog you got there".

Had an all white cate named Honkey growin' up in Wally World. Coolest cat ever. Stood his ground to anything.
One of our farmer friends came over to deliver a load of hay and brought his 3 "cat killing, meanest farm dogs ever"" dogs with him. He just apologized right than and there if his dogs killed our cat.
Spooked, we put the cat inside, who promptly said "screw you guys" and escaped.
A while later, as were sitting around after unloading all the hay, we here the commotions to end all commotions.
Oh crap, the cat is dead (we thought). Go runnin' up to his truck and there are his 3 dogs COWERING in the bed of his truck and on top of the roof of the truck was Honkey. Just sitting there looking like he had just kicked the living [censored] out of 3 dogs and knew he was a bad ass cool cat.
We show up, cat happily walks over to me, all snuggly and happy to be petted and like nothing happened.
Dogs wouldn't move, were shaking, and wouldn't get any where near 100' to that cat for the rest of the day.

Cats... Hmm, I pretty much cant stand them.... We have a few strays that wander around our neighborhood. They are constantly robbing our cats food bowl at every chance they get. I feel like the neighborhood cat clinic going through a bag of cat food every 2 weeks.... Anyhow, less than a week ago I see one of the stray cats in the back yard so I let my lab out to chase them out... I told him to get the cat so he runs out and the cat starts this hissing crap as is going to stand his ground. My lab looks back and I yell "get him drake".... So drake turns and charges the cat and this cat jumps and wraps himself around drakes head, he looked like he's stuck his head in a catchers mit.... He rolled around and then slung the cat into the wooden fence and off it went.... I haven't seen that cat since..... Keith

I hate cats too. We have a long haired blind 'himalayan' named 'Pumpkin'. She just lays there like a lump, day after day. If you pet her, she walks away, if you pick her up she hisses at you. My girls would love to play with her, but every time they do we get crying and "Punkin hit me!", or "Punkin bite me!".
When she wants something (cat box, food or water) she'll be nice to you.
So pretty much we are all just waiting for her to die. My wife even called an adoption agency and told them we were sick of the cat and wanted to get rid of her. The girl gave her a horrible mother-in-law type guilt trip, and so we kept the cat.
She is a little entertaining when she freaks out though, because she takes off running and invariably "bonggggg" runs hard into something (because she is blind).

I once had a brother sister pair who would tag team dogs. One would be on the gate and the other would roll around stretching on the ground to lure dogs in. Once the dog took the bait the one on the gate would drop onto his back and the other would paste him in the face.
My grandfather had about fifty wild cats living in his barn. They kept the varmits thinned out. He would mix up a big cream can full of milk, oatmeal and whatever and slop them like pigs every morning. You want to see how vicious a cat can be just be unlucky enough to catch one of those wild cats. You will never ever want to catch one again.

My dogs (65 and 85lb Dobies) almost killed/drowned a cat up on the job in Mt Vernon last year. I was staying in my trailer up on the job during the week and had the dogs with me. I let them out in the am to run around since the whole job is fenced (large lot with a huge house on it), and I hear them start barking. I go out to see what is going on and realize the have a cat up a tree in the middle of the lot. I figure no worries, they will be getting put in the trailer in a bit and the cat will go on its way before they get back out for lunch, so I go back in the trailer to finish my breakfast. I also figured there was not a cat on the planet STUPID enough to come 30' down a tree with 150 lbs of Doberman sitting at the bottom. I WAS WRONG ! ! I no sooner get back in the trailer when all hell breaks loose outside. I go running back out to call off the dogs and all I can see is the big Dobie (Silas), in the retention pond with his head in the water and four cat feet sticking up out of the water. I get down there and call/pull him off and as soon as the cat pops to the surface the little Dobie (Lucy, the tripod), is on it and back under it goes ! ! After much yelling and getting them both by the collar I get them back up to the trailer and throw them in the back of the truck. I go back down to check on the cat figuring I'm gonna hve to get a shovel and the thing is still in the pond kinda hissing and spittin at me. I get a stick, which it attacks, and drag it out (coulda used a hockey stick at that point Dave). I tell the cat it had better get the hell out of there by lunch cause the dogs are gonna be back. Later on I went to check on it and it was gone. .. .. Stupid F'n cats.
And stlhead, yeah, feral barn cats are some nasty mo fo's. We used to have a kitty shoot on the farm every couple of years to control the population cause you couldn't (and wouldn't want to ) catch them to vacinate them. Not a varmit on the property though, besides the cats.

Love cats. Low maintenance, affectionate, very little mess. Wish women were so good. I don't ever want another dog. High maintenance, chew the shitt outta everything, shitt all over the yard AND the house, loud obnoxious barking. Phukk em, I hate em.
Dog comes on my property and tries to kill my cat , he'll have a mighty big hole in him .

I knew there was a reason I liked you, Harry! My current cat (of 12 years) is part Maine Coon Cat. He's big, furry, loves everybody including the kids, not scared of anyone or anything, and is a cool cat. He's an indoor/outdoor cat that comes and goes through a magnetic cat door as he pleases. Put down a bowl of water and dried Cat Chow and that's about it, as he's not fed, nor does he like, human food, or that canned cat food crap. He sleeps on the foot of my bed at my feet every night. The only real maintenance we do for the cat is try to brush him, as he will get a bad case of the furballs in the summer time if we don't.

Got a border collie cocker mix. Great dog. Very obedient. Rarely walk her on a leash so she can chase any squirrels she sees. Loves to herd anything that runs. One day on our walk a big tomcat struts out in front of us. Sage looks at me like, "can I herd it?!" "Get the kitty I say" and off she goes. Cat runs about 50 feet then stops, turns, gets this look like, "why am I afraid of that?" and starts running back at Sage. About two seconds later Sage is hiding behind me. My dog is a big wimp. Some cats are tough. I am pretty sure that cat would have turned and chased anything that bothered it.

Same with my cat. Will only eat dried cat food. Plus he obeys commands. If I say no he won't do it. For some reason he likes water and mud puddles. But if I say no he won't go out. When he was younger after he caught his second bird I grabbed the bird from him and scolded him. Never touched a bird since. Now he talks to the birds....which is pretty weird.
