Here is a link to the video I shot of Tony Stewart crashing in a heat race at Skagit Speedway last year. He was there for a Kasey Kahne charity event race. These guys are fast..... He ended up with his arm in a sling and raced in California the following Sunday in a Nextel event. This was on a Wednesday night. Kasey Kahne is the one walking around after the crash in a white w/red jump suit on. He ended up finishing 4th in the main event. Tony's car was destroyed and auctioned off to raise money for the childrens charity. The front and back wings each got over $30K I believe, so the crash ended up being for a good cause. This video, well an extremely edited version, ended up all over the news. You can hear my kids and me in the background, but Jennifer missed it as she was off getting beer and burgers. Not as exciting as a plane crash but the folks seems to have enjoyed it, and got their money's worth. Watching Billboards go around in circles would be an absolute bore without the random train wrecks.
Demolition Derbies seems to have it figured out, by cutting to the chase, with the total BOOM and BANG package. Altho, with more speed, more blood on the track would increase the ratings and gawking 100%. Cr@s#%&@!!!!! = what the f%&k? .....is he Ok????...Drumroll please?...aaahhhhhhh!!!..applause... more beer please.

Nice that you got paid for going. Keep that camera handy, there will be plenty of opportunities for the heroe to crash, bleed, and get carried off on a stretcher in a future event.
