As of a few years ago I still had a box full of letters from a gal I dated for close to 5 years. I was IN LOVE. I married someone else a couple years later and made sure I knew where those letters were. My wife (ex) didn't mind one bit that I kept them. Most women would rather be with a guy who is "in demand" anyway. She thought it was pretty cool that someone else loved me and that we spent that much time . After all, I wasn't with this old girlfriend I was with her.
All those years I still had Kelly in the back of my mind. She was hot, from a great family, and wasn't lacking for $. But, when she called me after moving back from California and told me she wanted to get together for lunch I hesitated and took her number.
This girl was my soul mate. We had our time together. I'd have given anything for this moment in time to have happened 10 years prior. My wife (ex) doesn't lack self confidence and would have not questioned me at all if I'd have gone out with her.
I called her back and said "Kelly, I'd love to meet up with you but don't want to relive my past. Wish you the best".
I would have never taken advantage of the situation because i was married but I do know nothing good could have come of it. All I'd have been left doing for the next few weeks would be to sit back and think "what if"? I question enough stuff about my past but that's one I'd rather not have rolling around in my head.
You're the only one that knows your situation well enough to make the final call. Good luck.

My wife and I count among our good friends a woman I engaged to & broke up with a couple of years before my wife and I met. My wife has never given me any grief about other woman, going out with my friends, male or female or anything else along those lines. Of course, after 35 years together, she knows I'm scared of her.
If i was in your shoes, I'd go to lunch with the woman and take my wife, if she wanted to go. That way, everything is up front and in the open. Always the best way to go.

The Shoe... Maybe its the perfect time to give it back to her Uh yeah..now that we've been enlightened...besides knowing that you know how to have a great time...I recommend FedEx'ing it to her without any explanation or note or letter. She'll get the hint. "You forgot your shoe, slut!"

Sounds like a huge can labeled GRIEF... savor the memory of what once was and what could have been, be content with what you do have cause nothing in life or no one in life is perfect. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT OPEN THAT CAN!.. Fantasies can become nightmares...

I was glad to see her. Things were like old times. We took off and went camping, did a couple hot springs, talked for 3 days solid. I had to work so left her at the house. She went and looked up some of her old crew, and winds up on a 3 day cocain runner with some dickhead she knew while I was away. She was a mess. Rather than have to deal with her coming back to the house smelling like a burnt clutch, I took all her clothes, and threw them out in the front yard. She came and got them but I would not even open the door. She left one shoe in the lawn as she took off crying. I still have that shoe.
Maybe its the perfect time to give it back to her Dude looks like you already made the wrong choice once. F me over once shame on you F me over twice shame on me. Why the hell would you want to screw yourself over third time. Take your wife out for a nice dinner and ask her if She would of thought you were a Idiot if you had lunch with her and then ask her if she would like to send the shoe back. Unless of corse your wife would be into doing the 3some thing then giving her the shoe back. If it realy is still a good memory keep it that way. Shouldn't you be thinking more about Elk hunting now anyway...

How would you feel if the situation was reversed and your wife's old boyfriend was in town and wanted to see her? Whatever you do keep the wife in the loop or you will regret it. Does your wife trust you now? Would she trust you in the future if she found out after the fact that you saw your old GF and didn't tell her? You are in love with the memory of her and you have overlooked the regrets she has already caused you. Do you think that if you hadn't thrown her $h!t out in the yard you would have lived happily ever after or would she have just burned you again at a later date? Remember the burned clutch smell you were talking about and you will loose your appetite for her. P.S. if you do choose to see her, give her back the shoe, you will sleep better.

B-run, you should hit this old flame of yours like a Mac Truck with a phalic hood orniment. A good marriage should be able to withstand a little infidelity. And if it can't you can always grenade the damn thing and give half your shi% to your wife and move on, foot-loose and fancy-free. Dude, thats some BAAAAAAAAAAD advice, but funny.

Tell your wife. She may not like it now, but she'll respect and trust you more down the road. The right thing is many times the harder thing.

I remember my old flame, She came to visit met the wife. Well I was whipped when we were together.Still had a couple things like the shoe hanging around.
Well the memories were sweeter than reality. She came she left haven't talked to her since.
I tossed things. Haven't looked back thats the past. The future my wife kids house and what not got to live for that. Its been a little Fked latley. But we are trying.
Good luck B with whatever choice you make. I sugest the one where you wife knows.

Tell your wife if you really want to just talk to her. Ride it hard and put it away wet if you don't. If you want to stay married, tell the weaseling homewrecker to kick rocks.

B-RUN, I suggest you go sturgeon fishing with Mel instead. In the long run it will be much safer. That is a part of your life you do not need to relive. Not that you need my advice, but I had to throw it in the ring...
If this thing turns in to a trainwreck, I'll buy all your gear and you driftboat for $500.00. You can borrow it anytime.
