Here's what we call a "Bucklehairy"
Huckelberries 7-Up sugar ice vanilla ice cream RUM - white
Let's see....get your blender set up....start with 1 cup or so of crushed ice, add 2 cups of huckleberries, 2-4 shots (or more to taste) of rum, 1 cup or so of sugar, add a scoop of vanilla ice cream and top off with 7-Up.
Run blender until mixture is smooooth......
Pour into glass and enjoy!
Repaet and have some more!

Hog Slayer- 3/4 shot glass w-vodka 1/4 w- butter scotch liquer. Good stuff kicks ass. I call it a Kalama River Hog Slayer. Invented by my buddy Rob. Try Cannon balling that drink. If you don't know cannon balling take a rip of greens. Take a shot, pound a beer and exhale. Ot damn is all I gotta say.
Hexagonic Margarita. Used to drink this in school in front of administrators/teachers because they have no idea. Take a smaller sized gatorade bottle and pour six shots of desired Tequila in followed by a red daquari or margarita mix to match the color of the gatorade falovor. Refrigerate over night w-fridge on full cold setting. Remove cap in public area and enjoy.

I'm allowed to be at parties, I'm just not suppose to consume any adult beverages. I'm in college now so thats not exactly a rule anyone cares about now. But yes I learned it from the dumb kids I went to highschool with who think it's cool to bring spiked gatorade to school and try and get drunk from a few shots in a gatorade. All to be cool..

Grated Fresh Ginger (palm size piece) Organic Green Tea (Bags or Loose) Chai Masala 1 1/2 tsp (Indian Style Spice for Tea) Travelers brand Seattle @ 501 E. Pine Street
Bring to a boil in a herbal tea pot (clay is best, stainless OK, but never aluminum) and serve. Sweeten with Honey or the sweetener of your choice.
This was our favorite drink at Yoga Teachers Training for the last 2 weeks over near Leavenworth. Umm Delicious!!!!!!

mixed drinks = yuk! except maybe margaritas. Don't forget a bloody mary made from scratch, not the premix crap with vodka. Best Hangover Remedy Ever. Don't skimp on the horseradish or tobasco. A good Mojito is also hard to beat. If you want to get DRUNk, try a Timberwolf. One part Jaegermeister with one part Rumpelminze. Best if you keep both parts in the freezer before mixing. If anyone has an epic Sangria recipe, please share ![smile \:\)](/forum/images/graemlins/default_dark/smile.gif)

Ice cold Patron unpolluted. Good tequila can be sipped like the sweet nectar of life that it is. I love marg's but I use the cheap stuff for it. If you get the chance try Cuervo's Reserva de la Familia. So far my favorite premium tequila. I can't afford a whole bottle, but will buy a glass when I can find it. I'd recommend a Macanudo Portofino to smoke with it. I've been hitting those since I was 17, the smoke keeps away the mosquitos. A medium bodied yet flavorful cigar. Connecticut shade wrappers, and Dominican Republic filler. It is one of my favorite sins. VHawk

JLH, doesn't sound like you can get a buzz off of that tea.
Here's a tea recipe for you:
Fresh picked mushrooms from your yard. Boil in water. Strain. Add tea bag. Drink somewhere safe.
Now that's some potent tea and it'd probably go well with your yoga.

No thanks! You can make that one for yourself.
My official Drink Recipe is as I listed previously, and it come with a bite (spicey) not a buzz. My choice of drinks often allows for a safe and pleasant experience, without a hangover, regrets or DWI's. Conditions that are conducive to being present for full enjoyment and bennefits of Yoga and meditation.
I'll leave the buzz stuff for you to enjoy.

Honestly, If you don't drink why would you click on this thread, much less post on it?
Go dig up the Friends of Bill W thread. It's made for you. I click on the tread because the title was "Official Drink Recipe". The item I listed is considered a drink in the world I live in. Same as KoolAid, lemonAid ect. If the tread was titled alcoholic drinks or hallucinogenic drinks, then I would have past by. The drink I listed is one that is favored by many that have tried it. It qulifies because it's my "Official Drink Recipe". A drink as I see it is any liquid that we prepare or pour and swallow. Everyone drinks to stay alive. Alcohol does not have to be present in order to qualify a liquid as a drink or does it? Maybe the title should be changed in order to not confuse people as myself, that they can have a drink (liquid) recipe without the alcohol or a requirement to get buzzed. Some people as myself, don't place alcohol or drugs at the center of the universe, for reference in communicating human functions and needs, such as drinking, breathing. eating etc. I hope this clears things up a bit as to where I'm coming from. I didn't attack anyone for their choice of drink, and I don't expect that there should be the need to attack me or my choice. The drink I shared is also good and wholesome, like I assume many of the others listed are, even though I didn't review many. BTW, in these threads I take what I can use, and leave the rest. That way I don't have to get into personalities. To each his own I say. Namaste'

I never tried green tea with ginger, and I don't have any idea what that other stuff is, but it sounds interesting JLH. We drink green tea every day. I like it with orange zest and a cinnamon stick in it, for it's blood sugar lowering properties. Aunty, Masala contains: Green Cardamon, Cinnamon, Dried Ginger root ( I also add fresh), Cloves, Black pepper, Fennel and Nutmeg. You are right about cinnamon as it does helps to regulate blood sugar. Also good for spicing up libido. Aunty you would love this drink, I'm sure.

Why mess anything up???
Beer, Longboard lager, Alaskan Amber, Redhook, and of course Moosedroole. Or now I know, something from Pat's shop.
Vodka water
Patron gold or silver will do
Whiskey water, no ice
Crown on the rocks
Anything else is a waste, wine makes me crazy, mixed drinks ruin the drink, Rum, oh rum, stay away from that stuff.

"I've never even heard of some of these brands. Has the world gone foo foo over booze these days?"
A lot of the brands are old but just now are available to Washingtonians as the state controls it so tightly. Some of the stuff available world wide though are tough to drink. I have some stuff brought from Europe, South America and Africa that are defintely an acquired taste that, so far, I haven't acquiired.

No preparation, mixing, ice, or fruit wedges necessary...
Absinthe...the real stuff, not the licorice liqueur they call "absinthe" around here...the stuff that's full of Wormwood, which happens to be a controlled substance...
Three shots in three minutes...then just sip on it for the rest of the evening...don't drive, walk far, or be scared of trippy chit.
I've only found the real stuff that comes from Japan...smuggled in the luggage of an acquaintance...
Fish on...

my latest canadian whiskey addiction is Pendleton. same price as Crown but way better taste.
After that the cordial around a fire on a landing after packing an Elk out in PeEll has some fond memories. I'm about three weeks from doing it again.

my latest canadian whiskey addiction is Pendleton. Pendelton is good stuff, smoooooth. Patron is sold in the liquor store in Clinton, by the Red Apple grocery store there at the first light you come to when getting off the ferry, it is sold too in Freeland, but often out, the help there isn't much either. Oneway, there may be a Holloween party you might need to be present at with your Patron when you are up.

Lemon Margueritta
2 shots 100% agave tequilla tablespoon of organic lime or lemon (Central Market sells this) a dash of Crystal Light lemon powder 12 oz of water cube ice
For a lemon drop just substitute vodka for tequilla and add a fresh sprig of mint
Pendleton shots are great! Had a few earlier this summer camping after catching summeruns

If you like crown and pendleton try Wiesers Very Old. It can be hard to find but it kicks butt. Wiesers deluxe is half the price of crown and better. Try it you'll be glad you did.....

I used to drink Crown until I tried Pendelton. I discovered Tangle Ridge last year and haven't bought Pendelton since.
My latest discovery is Snake River Stampede. Its only been out for a couple months. Its still not at all the liquor stores so I still by Tangle on occasion.
The SRS is really good stuff.

I discovered Tangle Ridge last year and haven't bought Pendelton since. WOW.....that's saying something. I'll try it. The only real downside to Tangle is that it only comes in fifths. A fifth doesn't last long with me and my buddies. A couple trips around the fire and shes dead.
